** A very short message today; the Christmas season must have folks
pre-occupied.
** Peter Gadd advises that the MISTLE THRUSH [Grive draine] has arrived
back to its favourite mountain ash tree this morning, Monday. It did disappear
on Sunday for three hours, following a 4-hour stay, after a SHARP-SHINNED HAWK
[Épervier brun] made an unsuccessful attack on a MOURNING DOVE [Tourterelle
triste].
** There is a report of a FIELD SPARROW [Bruant des champs] at a feeder
in Moncton that will hopefully be confirmed today; if correct it may be a
Christmas Bird Count day addition.
