**Bird
feeders are now busy, which means some of the raptors are checking them out.

Doucette captured a photo of a sharp-shinned hawk looking like it was
not particularly impressed with being photographed!
(Editor’s
note: The three raptors that most commonly visit birdfeeders in New Brunswick are
the sharp-shinned hawk, Cooper’s hawk, and merlin.
The northern
goshawk, peregrine falcon, and red-tailed hawk would typically be less common
at birdfeeder yards, with the northern goshawk being the most likely of the
three less common birds mentioned.)
