**The first nestlings of migrant bird species are starting. John Oldham got a photo of a COMMON GRACKLE [Quiscale bronzé] nestling in his Moncton yard on Friday, May 29th.

**The NORTHERN PARULA WARBLER [Paruline à collier] is known to use OLD-MAN’S BEARD LICHEN, a.k.a. Usnea [Usnée barbe du vieillard] as nesting sites. Aldo Dorio got some nice photos of that well in progress at Hay Island Nature Park on Friday.

**Anne Marsch reports the GREAT EGRET [Grande Aigrette] was still enjoying the Cormierville Marsh as of Friday.

**Jean-Paul LeBlanc continues to have BOBOLINKS [Goglu des prés] in their Bouctouche yard on a regular basis, however, Friday had the first female arrive. They also had a NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD [Moqueur polyglotte] on Friday to their yard.

**Carol Christopher had a SPRING PEEPER [Rainette crucifère] attach to a window pane of her Miramichi home on Thursday night. A photo shows the underside, to especially note the sucker foot pads that enable this species to attach to upright objects as they do.

Brian Stone got several nice warbler photos to show some of both genders as well as one of those difficult to identify Empidonax flycatchers without hearing a vocalization.
