**The Nature Moncton Workshop on Fossils is on for tomorrow, Sunday, September 27th from 1:00 to 3:00 at the Tankville School at 1665 Elmwood Drive. The PDF notice is reattached to the mail-out list with all the details. Register with Judi Berry-Steeves at 387-4778 or email Judi at jbsteeve@nbnet.nb.ca. And as always, all are welcome, Nature Moncton member or not.

**Anna Tucker recently spent time enjoying the Sackville Waterfowl Park. She photographed the ripe berries of HIGH BUSH-CRANBERRY [Viorne trilobée], enjoyed GREAT BLUE HERON [Grand Héron] fishing at very close range, a CABBAGE BUTTERFLY [Piéride du chou] close up, and many Yellowlegs [Chevalier] there now. It could be suspected there may be other Shorebird [Oiseau de rivage] species joining the Yellowlegs, as was so great last year in late September and into October. The Sackville Waterfowl Park birds are so used to people nearby and not bothering them that closeup views are a real bonus.

**Dave Christie reports the GREAT EGRET [Grande Aigrette] continues its presence at the Waterside Marsh, feeding in small saltmarsh ponds near the creek on Friday. It has been very content there for at least a few weeks now.

**Louise and Glen Nichols found SQUASH BUGS [Punaise de la courge] being attracted to Glen’s Squash [Courge] plants in their Sackville garden on Friday. All the bugs Louise got photos of appear to be nymphs, not adults yet.

**Aldo Dorio shares two fall Warbler [Paruline] photos of YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS [Paruline à croupion jaune] as well as a RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET [Roitelet à couronne rubis]. The extended eye-ring of the Ruby-crowned Kinglet shows nicely.

**I came across a group of WILD MARJORAM [Origan vulgaire] plants still sporting some blooms on Friday. The scent of the crushed leaves was very pleasant. Some photos are attached.

**A photo of yesterday of Brian Stone’s was accidentally labelled as a EURASIAN WIGEON [Canard siffleur] with a GADWALL [Canard ]; it is of course an expected AMERICAN WIGEON [Canard d'Amérique], and that photo is corrected on the blogspot and reattached today.
