** David Currie, a very seasoned birder in Halifax, was watching CTV on
Tuesday evening and noted that the photo that Cindy Day showed that was
submitted by someone in the Riverview area that shows a LE
CONTE’S SPARROW [Bruant Le Conte]
taken on top of a cattail along the river. This certainly may be one that
should be checked into further. David said he contacted CTV to find out exactly
where it was spotted and will let us know what he is able to find out.
** Brian Stone has done a Dropbox folder of 126 photos of
the Nature Moncton falconry visit on Saturday. Any of Brian's photos can be
saved, so along with the Flickr album Mitch Doucet contributed on Monday's
edition everyone should be able to have the photos they select as memories of
this event to save. Thank you Mitch and Brian for sharing your photographic
