** Jane LeBlanc in St. Martins had the last Monarch Butterfly chrysalis in her greenhouse eclose on Friday. She placed it in the vegetable garden in what sun there was, on a big zucchini leaf. It 'sheltered in place' during Fiona. This could be one of the last photos we will get to see this season of a fresh Monarch Butterfly emerging.

Also on her property, there was a substantial Beaver dam, which has now partially washed away. They got about 1 ½ in. of rain, after receiving 3 in. several days ago, and 1 ½ in. last Monday. She's quite sure they've had their quota!

Power was off in St. Martins for about 10 hours and trees are down, with one being down across Jane's driveway which NB Power had to deal with.

**Bob Blake reports, as others have, that their feeders were very busy on Friday before Fiona. Birds instinctively sense the need to fuel up for an adverse event.

Bob comments the arrival of Dark-eyed Juncos was notable.

**Sterling Marsh got a photograph through a screened kitchen window in a hurry on Saturday morning with the high winds and rain as he spotted 3 male and 1 female Ring-necked Pheasants looking for the feed he normally puts out in the back woods but hadn't yet due to the wind and rain. One male had the distinctly different head colouring of a maturing male as indicated in the photo. They were very nervous and flew when he tried to get a better photo.
