**Hope everyone remembered to put their clocks back one hour last night. Morning came early!

**Petitcodiac River Appreciation Day happened on Saturday and was a rewarding success. The whole day was videotaped, and many still photos taken. It is hoped we can get a link on the website so folks that missed it can still take it in. (Editor’s note: I for one want to listen again to every single presentation with notepad in hand. There was so much awesome information shared about the river and nature in general).

Wendy Sullivan shares our first look at how things started with the Tidal Bore being piped in by the picture-perfect RCMP band on a picture-perfect fall morning!

Take a look at the action at the link below:

**It may be dangerous to say, but there just may be a potential onslaught of fall Northern Cardinals. Jamie Burris reports a pair arrived in his Riverview yard recently. Jamie had no birdfeeders up, but the cardinal pair were enjoying the fruit on his yard Sumac shrub.

**Last week, a short humorous video of how easily a Grey Squirrel trained Jamie Burris to meet its needs was misplaced. It is reattached today. (Editor’s note: it is probably safe to say by today it has its own seat at the dining room table!). Check it out at the link below:

**John Inman noted that a second Rusty Blackbird arrived on Saturday to his Harvey, Albert County yard to join one that had arrived on Friday.

Rusty Blackbird numbers have decreased alarmingly, soit's great to see a pair arrive.

John also reports that they saw 3 Pine Grosbeaks on Friday, but he was not able to get photos.

**Jane LeBlanc in St. Martins has at least two late-flying Autumn Meadowhawk dragonflies in her yard.

She also spotted 2 Ruffed Grouse in her birch tree, a spot they will spend a lot of time in over the winter. They have an abundance of delicious nutritionally packed buds to forage on.

**Georges Brun captured some pleasant photos of 2 separate American Tree Sparrows, a species that is joining us at the moment from its northern breeding grounds.

**On Friday evening Brian Stone photographed the close encounter of the 84% illuminated waxing gibbous Moon and the planet Jupiter. Brian also inserted a close-up image of Jupiter and its 4 largest moons into the wider image of the Moon and Jupiter to show the arrangement and names of the moons.
