**Jane
LeBlanc sends a photo of a Red Fox, taken in Churchill, Manitoba last
week. Many foxes were seen, including Cross Foxes. One Arctic Fox was seen in
the area but was subsequently hit by a car. Because of climate change and
other factors, Red Foxes are moving in and Arctic Foxes are being forced out.
(Editor’s
note: this is a very significant observation and no doubt inevitable that some
species of wildlife will expand their range north as the climate warms. It will
be interesting to watch for clues of this right here in New Brunswick.)
