**Yolande LeBlanc shares a photo of an immature female
pine warbler that she has had coming to her Memramcook feeder yard for some
time. It does tend to favour suet but does also enjoy peanut butter and checks
out the seed trays occasionally.
(Editor’s note: it has been rewarding to note the number
of pine warblers that have overwintered at birdfeeders this season
despite recent cool temperatures.)
**Lisa Morris observed 50 + American robins while
driving by the 4-plex (Russ Howard Dr.) opposite the parking lot entrance to
the Sports Dome in Moncton. They were feasting on crab apples. Lisa commented
that opening the car window and hearing the robins chirp en masse was a lovely
treat on a sub-zero cold day!
**Brian Stone felt the need to get some fresh air on
Monday afternoon, so he went for a walk along the Mill Creek trails in
Riverview. Snow was falling, but there was no wind, and it was a pleasant
outing. Brian was disappointed that he found no wildlife to photograph, so he
took some scenery photos just to satisfy his demanding camera. He went up a
side trail that led outside the park boundaries to a series of beaver dams and
took some photos of the first one along the trail before turning back.
