**Lynda LeClerc is having a lively scenario in her Moncton yard with an American robin that has decided to defend a fruit-laden mountain ash tree. On Wednesday, a flock of approximately 40  Bohemian waxwings arrived, perching in a pine tree waiting for a chance. Mr. Robin was ready to take them all on, and Lynda felt his defense efforts were working!

**The scenarios of white-tailed deer acting like urban goats around birdfeeders are getting quite common.

Fred Richards just returned from a week away to find they had developed some new tricks while he was gone. Fred usually puts some seed on the ground for the pheasants and cardinals, and the deer clean it up in the afternoon.  They have adapted from their nocturnal lifestyle to arrive when the restaurant is open!

**An update on the progress of the reconstructed peregrine falcon nest box on the summit of Assumption Place -- Fred Richards and Nelson Poirier were up to the penthouse to complete plans for alteration to the new box which Fred Richards will be working on today.  A-Tech Roofing is set to come on Friday for installation on the roof, hoping the weather cooperates.

The nest cam (which looked lonely on the roof by itself) was also tested on Wednesday. It was working properly, but it will have to be moved to accommodate the new position of the nest box, which will be approximately 10 feet away from where the original box sat.
