**John Inman comments it was a poor rainy day for photos, but sends a photo of about a quarter of the blackbirds that came in on Tuesday, including the start of the female red-winged blackbirds and brown-headed cowbirds. Also, a common grackle with a few white feathers around each eye was present. A good amount of the blackbirds left, heading north after a feed.
**Dale Pugh captured a spread-winged
flight photo of a brown creeper during the Nature Moncton feeder tour on
March 8. It beautifully shows the plumage markings of this bird that could only
be captured in a still photo due to their very rapid movement in flight.
**The Tick Talk presentation
to the Nature Moncton meeting on Tuesday night went well despite having to be
totally virtual due to the weather. The comments/questions shared by participants
were exceedingly informative, and some need follow-up.
The recorded version will be available soon.
