**Jane and
Ed LeBlanc were in Saint John to buy groceries, so they figured they'd go a few
extra miles to the Irving Nature Park in west Saint John, to see if they could
see the American avocet that had been reported there. With the help of
other birders on scene, they were able to get pretty good looks at it, and Jane
got a few documentary photos. A 'lifer' for Jane.
Jane also
had an eastern phoebe in her St, Martins yard this week.
