**Jean-Paul and Stella Leblanc got some nice photos of
GADWALL ducks among a group of MALLARDS on Monday at the entrance of the Poirier
Strawberry U-pick on the Perry Rd. This can be accessed from Rte. 134 or Rte.
475 There is a Ducks Unlimited Pond which is frozen over but the outflow is
hosting many ducks, predominantly mallards at the moment. There were in the
ditch and easily seen from the roads. There were also 20-30 REDPOLLS at the left
side of the entrance and approximately 20 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS across the
road.
**Anna Tucker is noting the spring cultivars that are
now starting to pop up. She noted 2 different types on Monday to get some nice
photos. No doubt the warmth predicted for this week will see these springing up
with their pleasant splashes of color.
Anna also saw the NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD on Monday night
that stays in the area of Jones Lake near Louise and Maurice Richards's home.
**The REDPOLLS continue to show themselves more.
Clarence Cormier had a flock of approximately 50 arrive to his Grand Digue
site. They fed on birch catkins, not at feeders.
