**Some
good MOCKINGBIRD [Moqueur polyglotte] news: Maurice and Louise Richard’s one
Mockingbird around their home on Jones Lake has suddenly become two
Mockingbirds, as of Friday.
**Dale
Gaskin comments he noted a flock of 150 CANADA GEESE [Bernache du Canada] flying
very high over his Dawson Settlement home in a southerly direction on Friday.
Sounds like that’s some that will not be included in the Christmas Bird Count
tally in this area. Dale also suspects he had one lone REDPOLL [Sizerin flammé]
among the AMERICAN GOLDFINCH [Chardonneret jaune] troop on Friday. There has
been little comment about this species coming to many feeder sites as
yet.
