**Georges Brun was present and got some photos as the TERN [Sterne] barges were installed by the Shediac Bay Watershed Association this week. Jim Weldon and an assistant had put them together. Approximately 18 COMMON TERNS [Sterne pierregarin] were on the nearby sandbar waiting, and they immediately went to check out the platforms. They also use the bridge on the trail crossing the creek to roost and check out the menu. SPOTTED SANDPIPER [Chevalier grivelé] and GREATER YELLOWLEGS [Grand Chevalier] looked on, as well as a YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER [Paruline à croupion jaune] and RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH [Sittelle à poitrine rousse] in the nearby bushes.

**Dave Christie comments on shorebird activity in the Harvey area on Thursday and Friday. He saw a flock of 125 shorebirds, of three different sizes, fly along the muddy shore of the Shepody River below the dam. They were too distant to be certain of identity, but he did see 2 SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS [Pluvier semipalmé], suspected the small ones to be LEAST SANDPIPERS [Bécasseau minuscule], ones slightly larger to be SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS [Bécasseau semipalmé], and some larger yet could have been WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPERS [Bécasseau à croupion blanc] or SANDERLINGS [Bécasseau sanderling]. A MERLIN [Faucon émerillon] kept them on the move on Thursday. On Friday, Dave saw a flock of 20 small Sandpipers, being able to identify 3 SPOTTED SANDPIPERS [Chevalier grivelé] and 2 LEAST SANDPIPERS [Bécasseau minuscule]. On Thursday, Dave saw two families of CANADA GEESE [Bernache du Canada], one pair with six young on the Studio on the Marsh property, and a pair with a family of three in the Lars Larsen Marsh.
