**After
three attempts, it looks like Mother Nature is looking fondly for the Nature
Moncton field trip to Cocagne Island scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, June 25th.
At the moment all space is booked, unless there are last-minute cancellations,
which Louise Nichols is keeping a list of at email nicholsl@eastlink.ca.
**Suzanne
LeBlanc at 241 Chapelle Street in Dieppe has often had interesting bird visitors
to her feeder yard. At the moment she has a BALTIMORE ORIOLE [Oriole de
Baltimore] visiting and singing near by, as well as a female NORTHERN CARDINAL
[Cardinal rouge] that visits on an irregular basis, but it’s interesting to know
one is in that neighbourhood. There’s another bird visiting her yard right now
that could be interesting, but will need verification before
announcing.
**Phyllis
McMillan reports a birth announcement: the BLUE JAY [Geai bleu] couple that
chose a spot under her Riverview home’s eaves has had the first heads of
nestlings appear. Phyllis commented that until now the birds were extremely
quiet. That will probably change soon, with teenage Jays demanding
food.
