**Danny Gray got excellent photos of yet another bright INDIGO BUNTING [Passerin indigo], this time visiting in the Miramichi. It is the the first for Danny in his yard and he got good photos from three different angles. There must be a female out there somewhere to photograph. She tends to look sparrow-like-like and is easy to overlook. Take a look at the female in your guides and be ready.

**Yvette Richard got a great photo of her first ever VIRGINIA RAIL [Râle de Virginie] at the Sackville Water Fowl Park on Tuesday. A RAIL that is more often heard than seen. Yvette got a great photo of a male YELLOW WARBLER, sporting it's sharp reddish breast bands, as well as a SIX-SPOTTED TIGER BEETLE, standing to attention on the rail of her shed.

**Krista Doyle captured a pleasant photo of the brillant male AMERICAN GOLDFINCH [Chardonneret jaune] in a Tamarack tree sporting it's new mint green needles at her Lewis Mountain home. She also caught a COMMON YELLOWTHROAT [Paruline masquée] Warbler in full song announcing it's territory and a female RUBY-THROATED HUMMINGBIRD [Colibri à gorge rubis], enjoying her nectar offering.

Georges Brun got some excellent photos of a Great Blue Heron successfully fishing at the mouth of Halls Creek on Tuesday. These are good sized fish for a snack. I’m not sure of species but the Gaspereau run should be on at the moment but the fish look long and sleek for Gaspereau.

**Aldo Doiro, once again this season is enjoying a pair of EASTERN BLUEBIRD [Merlebleu de l'Est] that have returned for a second season to his Neguac yard. He got a WILSON'S WARBLER [Paruline à calotte noire], COMMON YELLOW THROAT[Paruline masquée]and YELLOW WARBLER [Paruline jaune] at Hay Island as well as a NORTHERN FLICKER [Pic flamboyant], with head poked out of its nest cavity.

**Brian Stone returned to the NODDING TRILLIUM patches of hundreds of plants he saw last week preparing to bloom at Mapleton Park. On Tuesday, many were in full bloom (over one-third), showing their striking, nodding blossoms that Brian photographed. A large patch is located just as you enter the park from the Gorge Road entrance with hundreds of plants.
Brian also photographed several other items at the park including the colourful Calligraphy Beetle, a male COMMON Yellowthroat Warbler, Wild Lily of the Valley a.k.a. Canada Mayflower near blooming, Chestnut-sided Warbler, Eastern Phoebe, Serviceberry (with all its other common names) in bloom, Field Horsetail more fully open, violets, wild strawberry blooming, a bee fly, and various bee species loaded with pollen to pollinate other flowers and use it as a food supply.

**Our resident GRAY CATBIRD [Moqueur chat] (s) is continuing to enjoy bird pie, however it is now taking to enjoying strawberry jam as a chaser. One at least is becoming more bold and flying right in for its booty with all the other birds around, which at first it seemed intimidated by.
