**Georges Brun again saw two PEREGRINE FALCONS [Faucon pèlerin] on the Assumption Place logo on Friday morning. They would appear to be considering overwintering in that area. They may have taken note of the number of PIGEONS and STARLINGS [Étourneau] on the Moncton Christmas Bird Count!

A BALD EAGLE seemed not to mind the crispy weather Thursday morning a few hundred feet ( 60 m.) downriver from  the mouth of Halls Creek. (south side or Riverview marsh)  quite adult.  The adult female was perched on her trunk upriver near the Trans Aqua secondary phase of their upgrade.

The female Northern Harrier was flying and hunting for prey near the gazebo close to the river.

**Brian Coyle again got some great BOBCAT [Lynx roux] track photos in the near-perfect snow conditions to show details. Note particularly the roundness of the print of the C-shaped ridge between the toe pad and the heel pad, and the lack of any nail imprint. There’s also a tendency for feline prints to be slightly off at an angle. It’s chancy to get the right substrate of snow to give details like this, but today should be a good day.
