**Stella
LeBlanc came across a spiderweb while checking her garden on Thursday morning
and got a few great photos. This web is typical of the ORB-WEAVER group of spiders. The web maker was not at home, but
very apt to be nearby, and I suspect Stella will be able to get a photo of it.
The females can become quite large this time of year, and some are strikingly
marked. The web they make is a real piece of engineering. The maker arranges
the web so prey get caught but the spider can zip across the web and not get
stuck itself.
**After
Clifford Twist and Yvette Richard taking note of the small yellow crown patch
on the FORK-TAILED FLYCATCHER when it visited Memramcook, Brian Stone went
through his many photos and managed to find two that he had missed before that
had the yellow crest just barely showing. Probably because it was such a small
amount showing that he did not notice. Those photos are attached
