Only a few messages today no doubt due to 3 rainy days in a row, but interesting.
**Theresa McCready sends along a very interesting
video of a duo of Fishers, an animal we don’t often see in southeastern
New Brunswick. I would assume this is part of a family unit of Mother and young-of-the-year
or two siblings. I would expect the males would be travelling solo at this time
of the season.
This video was captured by Don lutes in
the Youngs Cove area.
Take a look at the trail camera action at the attached link:

**Brian Coyle was very surprised to see a beige Coyote show up on one of his trail cameras. At first, he thought it was a domestic dog, but it is, indeed a Coyote. This shows that some of the colour phases due to genetics can be all over the map with coyotes.
Take a look at the excellent video at
the dropbox link below:

**Mac Wilmot found some over
productive, oversize Tea Berries (Wintergreen) in a burned over clear-cut
near Mullen Stream Road (Little Southwest Miramichi). He wonders if the large
size was due to charcoal and ash or fire retardant that was used to kill this
fire. The berries adjacent to the burn were normal size.
