**Isabelle Simon, an 11-year-old Nature Moncton member, has been practicing her photography skills and is thrilled to share two Black-capped Chickadee photos taken in her Moncton yard. Her homemade pumpkin birdfeeder was set up in anticipation of Bird Studies Canada's Project Feederwatch program starting on Saturday.

**Jane LeBlanc had a bright Pine Warbler visit her St. Martin’s yard on Tuesday. As Pine Warblers often do, it paid a visit to the suet block.

There’s always a few of this warbler species that stay with us for the winter and visit feeder yards and can become faithful patrons to yards they choose.

**Brian Stone went to Wilson Marsh on the Salisbury Rd. on Tuesday in search of a potential rare bird but had to be content with just some interesting waterfowl instead that were kind enough to offer themselves as photo subjects. At least 3 AMERICAN COOTS were present with 2 of them hanging out closely with some of the many CANADA GEESE that were populating the marsh. An adult BALD EAGLE was perched and vigilant while some CEDAR WAXWINGS (editors note: the birds in Brian’s photos are young-of-the-year birds that have not yet taken on adult plumage) and AMERICAN TREE SPARROWS were about in the area. The sparrows kept their distance to the regret of the camera. There was also a large AMERICAN ROBIN flock that flew overhead and passed before an image could be made. Brian finally photographed some MALLARD DUCKS and Canada Geese in flight to help satisfy his daily photo needs.
