**This may not be the appropriate venue to do so but the editor would like to take this opportunity to express a huge appreciation of gratitude for the multitude of very kind and thoughtful messages,  words, and hugs received over the past week to make one realize the importance of friends and relationships to be there in times of challenge. Your kindness and caring have been VERY APPRECIATED.

**Nature Moncton’s contribution to the Monarch Butterfly blitz went off on Sunday afternoon with perfect conditions for Monarch Butterflies and participants.
Rheal Vienneau shared his expertise and contagious enthusiasm as a primer with lots of up-to-date Monarch Butterfly information and samples of the real thing in progress. Roger LeBlanc arranged participants into groups, and the hunt/count of Monarch Butterfly caterpillars and eggs went well.
An added bonus was a group of beautiful Cecropia Moth caterpillar larvae that Rheal had also reared from the egg which was a first time for most of the group to even see this striking caterpillar let alone several at once munching on Pin Cherry foliage.
George Brun got photos of the group and action and I suspect more photos of items spotted will arrive over the next days.

** Brian Stone is visiting family near Perth, Ont. and he sends a few photos from some of his walks along the nearby woodland and wetland trails. At the end of the trail is a large, swampy pond with a lot of photo opportunities to offer. Many pictures have been taken (obviously) and more will be sent as they get processed. For now, Brian sends his images of a male Northern Cardinal, a Monarch Butterfly (many have been seen), a Question Mark Butterfly, and a darkly coloured Gray Treefrog that is inhabiting a hollow pipe on a child's jungle gym. (Editors note: note the effective sucker tipped digits of tree frogs that allow them to really attach to upright surfaces).

At the pond area Brian got photos of a Great Crested Flycatcher that took a large dragonfly as lunch. He also made a large panorama of the pond itself. Not visible in the right hand distance is a Great Blue Heron rookery with several nests that are presently unoccupied as nesting time has passed. Also photographed were 2 House Wrens in different areas behind his family's home. (Editors note: the House Wren is still a rare visitor to New Brunswick. Essence of time could change that!)
