**John Inman just put another half an apple out with grape jelly for his Baltimore Oriole and just got in the house, and an American Robin pounced on it and wolfed down the grape jelly. Looks like a trip to town for more grape jelly and cherry jam!

**Jamie Burris had not one but 2 White-throated Sparrows in the backyard Tuesday morning. The new one is not as colourful and has more streaking on the breast, thus assuming it may be a first-year bird. Both enjoy the seed bell and feeding on the ground.

**With the last day of January in the rear-view mirror, Georges Brun offers a photo of what we can look forward to down the road!

**Nelson Poirier was on a mission to the St. Andrews area on Tuesday and, with a snowstorm in progress, thought his chances of an audience with the now famous Brewer's Sparrow may be a long shot but the stars aligned! The beauty was there and cooperated for a few photographs not seeming to mind the blowing snow.

As the weather cleared in the afternoon, a quick visit to the St. Andrews wharf netted a handsome male Bufflehead and a Common Loon in non-breeding winter plumage.

A visit to the nearby Waweig Road quickly found some roaming Wild Turkeys and others feeding in the yard of a home along that road.

At the same time, Pine Grosbeaks were noted appearing to nip buds from trees, and some were on the roadside edge working exposed gravel.

It surely was one of those days!!!
