**The dark morph Grey Squirrel has become
quite common in southeastern Ontario but is more uncommon in the Maritimes.
There seem to be a few more reported around Fredericton, but to my knowledge none, if any, have been reported in Moncton.
Jennifer McCabe got an excellent photograph of a dark morph Grey
Squirrel she spotted in Oromocto.
**Jane
LeBlanc in St. Martins has been thrilled the last couple of days to have brief
visits from a male Northern Cardinal. On Friday, he brought a lady friend. All visits were very brief,
so the photo quality isn't great. Jane hopes to do better if there are more
visits.
**Brenda and Mac Wilmot watched a contest between a
male Ring-necked Pheasant and a Red Squirrel on Saturday in
their Lower Coverdale yard but it did not appear to result in the issue being
resolved!
Take a look at the action in the attached video
Brenda was able to capture.

**Brian Stone sends some animal track photos that he
took behind Irishtown Nature Park on another 3-hour walk on the snowmobile
trails on Saturday morning. Snow conditions were good, and wildlife traveling
about the night before gave lots of evidence of who may have been there.
