On Monday, John Inman photographed a bright White-Throated Sparrow, a nicely marked Song Sparrow, and an equally
well-dressed Lincoln’s Sparrow.
John also photographed a Northern Paper Wasp recently.
John comments they are surprised to have not noticed
any Lady Beetles as of yet.
**Shannon
Inman captured a very interesting photo of a dragonfly with its wings laden
with dew which I suspect is very seldom photographed.
Shannon
also photographed a large mushroom (5-inch cap) that is showing characteristics
of this prized edible, the King Bolete.
(Editor’s
note: Shannon’s photo shows the bulbous base, large size, and if one zooms in
closely to the top of the stipe a reticulated netted pattern can be seen.)
**Rheal Vienneau draws attention to a relatively new book on biodiversity some members may be interested in called The Milkweed Lands, which he purchased and recommends. He bought it on Amazon.
