**Sharon Nason got some nice photos of some buck white-tailed deer taken from their birdfeeder window, commenting they are regular visitors in Millidgeville.
Sharon’s photos show the developing antlers ‘in velvet’, a fleshy, blood-rich skin that causes them to grow very rapidly. The velvet will be shed in the fall during the mating season, leaving only pure bone.

**Brian Stone shares a few photos from last Monday when he was at Wilson Marsh with Louise Nichols looking for dragonflies. His dragonfly photos are basically the same as the ones Louise sent in, but he has a few others that he got on his own. The dragonflies are the eastern pondhawk dragonflies blurring past the camera as they were laying eggs along the edge of the water, a deeply coloured band-winged meadowhawk dragonfly, the special halloween pennant dragonfly, and an eastern forktail damselfly. Brian also photographed the nestling cedar waxwings looking like they were soon going to be ready to fledge, plus a mourning cloak butterfly.

**The sphinx moths are usually seen more frequently earlier in the season; however, Nelson Poirier had a worn twin-spotted sphinx moth come by his moth light on Thursday night.
