** The LONG-BILLED CURLEW [Courlis à long bec] continued to be present in
Cape Tormentine on Sunday. It’s now been present for possibly three weeks and
has been appreciated by many. many visitors.
** Ralph White had a surprise visitor to his 134 Torwood Court yard in
Riverview on Sunday, when a beautiful adult male BALTIMORE ORIOLE [Oriole de
Baltimore] arrived. Its visit was short as of Sunday.
** Jules Cormier reports that he now has 3 COMMON GRACKLES [Quiscale
bronzé], SONG SPARROWS [Bruant chanteur], a WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCH [Sittelle à
poitrine blanche] and one PINE WARBLER [Paruline des pins], along with expected
regulars coming to his Memramcook feeder yard.
** A few of us cruised the High Marsh Road and area on the Tantramar Marsh
late Sunday afternoon. The only raptors spotted on the marsh were one adult BALD
EAGLE [Pygargue à tête blanche] and one subadult. Its plumage surprised us,
however some guides suggested it to be a third-year subadult, with the dark band
on the whitening face. Some distant photos are attached of it feeding on top of
a utility pole.
