** Susan Richards was on the Caribou Plain Trail in Fundy National Park on Sunday to note WATER ARUM in bloom as well as RUSTY COTTON-GRASS.  She also spotted a cow MOOSE [Orignal] in the area.

** Chuck Prince’s trail camera caught a photo of a cow MOOSE [Orignal] and her calf in a woodlot in Shenstone, near Hillsborough, last week.  The trail camera took the attached photo at 4:32 am, so it's a bit dark.

** Bob and Sharon Blake noted a KILLDEER [Pluvier kildir] nest with 4 eggs just a few feet from a campsite they were at just outside of Moncton this past week.

** This past weekend was an active one for the BEAVERS [Castor] around our Miramichi River camp - the river is very active with them especially in the evening as one will often see branches with leaves moving up, down, or across the river with a Beaver’s head at the helm.  The one in the attached photo seems to have been on a SENSITIVE FERN gathering mission.  It’s usually ASPEN.
