** Susan Linkletter photographed a LAPPET MOTH in July.  The photo shows the unusual stance while resting. Presumably it is imitating something to act as camouflage but not sure just what.

** Brian Stone noted a large SPIDER  and egg sac and many spiderlings under a house roof on Monday.  The photo is a distant one and may not be clear enough to identify the spider, but does show the scenario of mother, egg sac, and young spiderlings.

** Ron Pittaway with the Ontario Field Naturalists puts out a Winter FINCH Forecast each year to predict winter finch activity that often indicates what may happen in the Maritimes as well.  That forecast is available by pasting the attached URL into your browser.
