**We often see GREAT BLUE HERONS perched in trees but not often at
the summit of power poles. Jim Johnson caught a nice silhouette of a GREAT BLUE
HERON using that as a vantage point in Scotch Settlement on
Tuesday.
**Susan Richards shares photo observations. One is of a view
from the summit of Mount Carleton earlier in the week, a COMMON EIDER capturing
what appears to be a crab, a GRAY SEAL head popped above water and a PITCHER
plant. The later 3 photos were from Miscou. Susan also shows the extremely high
level of water at high tide on the Memramcook River on Monday.
**Aldo Dorio again got a photo of a fairly fresh appearing
AMERICAN LADY BUTTERFLY on Tuesday as well as a GRAY JAY.
**The GREAT EGRET that has been seen around the Pointe du
Chene area continues to be present. Elaine Gallant saw it in the middle of a
small waterway between the bluff and Cap Brûlé on Tuesday evening. The Waterside
and Louis St., Dieppe birds were reported on recently so there is a possibility
of 3 known GREAT EGRETS are in the area at the moment.
