**  A group of AMERICAN ROBINS are cleaning off the mountain ash berries in Brian Stone's Moncton yard. He suspects all the bushes will be cleaned in a few days. He spotted a WAXWING with them but no photo to be certain which waxwing species.
He also photographed an AUTUMN MEADOWHAWK dragonfly in Mapleton Park on Tuesday. It's getting late but the weather is cooperating for them.
Brian also got a photo of a MULTICOLOURED ASIAN LADY BEETLE, nicely showing the design on the pronotum which is another way to identify lady beetle species when you can get close enough observation.

** There were several HOODED MERGANSERS feeding in Jones Lake on Tuesday. We saw them in the lake on the east side where Mount Royal Blvd. crosses. There were at least four males in brilliant breeding plumage and at least an equal number of females or immature males. They were constantly diving. Jones Lake has a very healthy minnow population especially BANDED KILLIFISH which suspect would be excellent merganser fodder.
