** Jean-Paul LeBlanc reports that on Saturday the FRANKLIN'S GULL [Mouette
de Franklin] was at the same spot where it was originally located, in plowed
fields behind adjacent civic number 2812 Route 515 in the Sainte-Marie
area.
** Also, the female NORTHERN CARDINAL [Cardinal rouge] was back in
Jean-Paul and Stella’s feeder yard at Bouctouche on Saturday.
** It was a surprise to find the OVENBIRD [Paruline couronnée] that had
visited our feeder yard in Moncton a few days ago, back again on Saturday. It
seemed to be travelling with AMERICAN GOLDFINCHES [Chardonneret jaune] and
watching them feed. At one point it appeared to peck at sunflower seed chips
that had fallen from a finch feeder.
** A photo, mislabelled as a GADWALL [Canard chipeau] pair, has been
corrected to AMERICAN WIGEON [Canard d'Amérique] on Saturday’s Blogspot posting,
and the corrected photo is being re-sent to members today.
** The Nature Moncton meeting is on for this coming Tuesday evening,
November 17. Details of the program will be repeated tomorrow and on Tuesday
morning.
