**Norbert Dupuis made a visit to Haut-du-Ruisseau Nature Park in Memramcook on Saturday to see some of the regular winter residents. This park will no doubt be one of the choices for the regular Nature Moncton Wednesday night walks that will start in June.

Norbert also had a visit from 3 female Ring-necked Pheasants on Sunday that cooperated nicely for photographs.

**Barbara Smith and her husband were walking near the water tower in Riverview and couldn't help but notice how much a birch tree laden with Birch Polypore mushrooms resembled a pouting face. They wonder why it's sporting such an unhappy expression. (Aside from climate change and biodiversity loss, that is!)

**There is still a good supply of Nature Moncton nest boxes waiting to be homed. They can be picked up in the yard of Nelson Poirier at 85 Mount Royal Blvd. Feel free to take as many as you feel you can take care of as it is important to get them up and ready for spring patrons of Tree Swallows, Eastern Bluebirds, Black-capped Chickadees, Flying Squirrels, and maybe a few surprises.

They should be placed by early to mid-April as Tree Swallows and Eastern Bluebirds often start arriving at that time. They may not actually occupy the box at that time but are scouting for potential nesting sites to return to later in the season.

**We have been advised that a few addresses on the Nature Moncton Nature News recipient list that are on the mailing list are not receiving the daily notification. We are not aware of why this is happening.

Proofreader Louise Nichols advises that when this happens, entering

"Nature Moncton Nature News" onto the Google search engine brings it right up.
