** Louise Richard photographed a CABBAGE WHITE butterfly in her Moncton yard on
Sunday, getting the photo from two angles. The Cabbage White is one of the early
appearing butterflies.
** Marlene Hickman dropped by the Beaubassin Research Station on Monday. The Black-throated Sparrow has not been seen in over a week now. It appeared to leave when the many other sparrows there dispersed. Marlene comments on two pairs of NORTHERN SHOVELER [Canard souchet] ducks that are using the pond that runs on the western side of the road there.
