**The film "Every Little Thing, Experiencing a BioBlitz"
will have a showing tonight, Wednesday night, November 23 at 7pm at the Aberdeen
Cultural Centre, 140 Botsford St. in Moncton. This film features the NB museum
in the Grand Lake protected natural area in 2013, 2014. This presentation will
be very interesting to naturalists to see how a bio blitz is done and all the
surprising things that can be learned in such an in depth search of an
area.
**Three of us dropped by Carmella Melanson's feeder yard
on Tuesday afternoon hoping for an audience with the YELLOW -THROATED WARBLER.
It did not show while we were there but did in later afternoon. Hopefully it
will become a regular at Carmella's well stocked buffet.
We did see a few EVENING GROSBEAKS come by which
Carmella commented arrived on Monday for the first time. Lots of bird action
in that yard including a DOWNY WOODPECKER that posed for a photo.
As has been the case the last few
weeks, several RED-TAILED HAWKS were spotted in roadside trees
along roads traveled. Most, if not all, being immature.
**A reminder of the Nature Moncton bird feeder workshop
happening this coming Sunday afternoon, November 27, from 1-4pm. Registration
is not required, just come along ready to learn new ideas and share your ideas
with others to make our bird feeder yards bird destinations. The write up is
added below.
