** A pair of BROWN CREEPERS [Grimpereau brun] appeared in front of Georges
Brun’s Churchill Street home on Dec. 31. Georges was able to capture a quick
photo of one of them, which is not easy to do with the always busy
creeper.
He also watched a very urbanized RING-NECKED PHEASANT [Faisan de Colchide]
as it visited and foraged near the memorial cairn at the landing on the
Petitcodiac River, near Chateau Moncton.
** Brian Stone was able to get a nice photo of VENUS [Vénus] and the
CRESCENT MOON on New Year’s Eve, as they appeared at 5:19 p.m.
** Aldo Dorio captured the last sunset of 2016, as it settled in at Néguac
on Dec. 31. There appears to be a possible sun pillar in the photo as
well.
