**David
Myles has an interesting WEASEL [Hermine] scenario about his home. He sees
Weasel tracks about his home and bird feeder yard every day, and sees an animal
from time to time. One comes to raw suet. It has become very approachable. He
assumes there must be a family unit nearby, as he has them every year. He sees
them around rock piles in nearby fields in their summer brown pelage. David also
gets FLYING SQUIRRELS [Grand Polatouche] regularly visiting the feeders, and has
had occasional BLACK BEAR [Ours noir] visits as well. Nice photos are
attached.
**Murray
Wigglesworth spotted a very healthy-looking RED FOX [Renard roux] on the Royal
Oaks golf course on Friday morning. He got a video of it successfully hunting,
and a still photo. Hopefully the video can be played during the second members’
sighting part of the next monthly Nature Moncton meeting.
**John
Filliter is getting lots of photo ops from BALD EAGLES [Pygargue à tête blanche]
he gets perching around his Cap-Brûlé home. He got a rather amusing one of an
Eagle appearing to shake its fist at him, or possibly just showing what those
powerful talons can do. John also notes the cock PHEASANTS [Faisan de Colchide]
strutting about seem even more colourful these days.
