**  Danny Sullivan had a visit from a lone COMMON REDPOLL [Sizerin flammé] to his Communications Road feeder yard on Saturday. There seems to be little Redpoll action around feeders this season. This one, a male, appears to be starting to brighten into breeding plumage.
 
**  An interesting point David Myles mentioned about the BLACK BEAR [Ours noir] photo he submitted for yesterday’s edition: look closely to the left of the obvious bear and you’ll see two eyes, and then be able to make out a second bear very cryptically hidden in the photo.
