**Dan Hicks had River
Otters come to his
yard pond on Sunday. They have seen them most winters. On Sunday there
were 3 together. Dan didn't think they had any decent-sized fish left in
the pond, but the otters certainly found some. Dan suspects there won't
be many fish left by the time they're done!
(Editor’s note: great photographs of River Otters, a
mammal we don’t often see especially in our yards unless one can provide the
appropriate menu!
**Jane LeBlanc in St. Martins had another
brief visit from a Sharp-shinned Hawk in the snow on Monday. It stayed
very briefly, but she happened to be looking out the kitchen window and saw it,
and got a distant, documentary photo.
**Margaret and Jack Rogers are yet another Memramcook couple who are enjoying regular Northern Cardinals.
