**After tramping over the marsh practically every day to get fleeting glances at an American Pipit, Barb Curlew has lately found them in more convenient places; for example, one on January 24th was on a lawn in Waterside in the company of 12 American Robins, and one was walking along the roadside (Route 915) on January 2.
**As one can see from
Aldo Dorio’s photo of a Neguac sunrise, there is snow but not enough to
keep Aldo from heading to Hay Island to take note of Red-breasted Mergansers
cruising the shoreline.
