***Several folks
got to see the NORTHERN LAPWING located in St. Martins spending time at a camp
ground there seemingly content. Jim Wilson got word out quickly with excellent
directions on Tuesday and best approach to take to get an audience with yet
another rarity in NB.
Anne Marsh and I
made a hasty run down on Wednesday morning hoping to beat the oncoming weather.
The NORTHERN LAPWING was waiting for us and got wonderful observations and
some photos that are attached. Others vehicles started arriving soon after and
all were very cautious staying in vehicles as the bird happily
feed.
***Doreen
Rossiter has had an interesting scenario with NORTHERN CARDINALS to her Alma
yard over the past weeks. She had three northern cardinals come by briefly on
December 02, two males and one female, on December 06 she had one male appear
only staying momentarily, then on Tuesday near dusk she had two females and one
male arrive to her yard. Doreen is suspicious that these are seven different
individuals to visit her yard in December.
