**Brian Stone shares is a real packet of interesting photos. One is of the not commonly seen PICKEREL FROG, a close-up of WHIRLIGIG BEETLES as they ride the surface tension of the water, a HARVESTMAN which is a spider relative, a BULLFROG, a very small AMERICAN TOAD which would be a young of the year as the American toad does its transformation from tadpole to toad at this time of year. Also included are two photos of a PAINTED TURTLE and the SPINDLE-SHAPED YELLOW CORAL MUSHROOM, a common one in the woods at the moment. POWDERED DANCER DAMSELFLY, GROUNDNUT AKA INDIAN POTATO, in flower. Groundnut produces a tasty underground tuber that was a significant food source to early native people.
