**Judy March comments she is noting PUSSY WILLOW buds starting to shed their bud scale to reveal their white furry insulation layer below that we all welcome as PUSSY WILLOWS. These will break into male and female flowers on different shrubs over the next weeks. Judy noted these on the Humphrey Brook trail, a local trail we all should be taking more note of, so close at hand and following the Humphrey Brook.

**John Inman spotted a TURKEY VULTURE flying over his Mary's Pt. Rd home on Tuesday morning, then disappearing towards the Harvey dam.

There seems to be a notable number of turkey vulture sightings in NB over the past few days. It would appear their migratory return is underway.

**Dave Christie reports he had a WHITE-THROATED SPARROW singing its full chorus nearly continuously on Tuesday noting it seemed tuned very near its April-May quality.

*Brian Stone and Danny Sullivan visited the Hall's Creek trails on Tuesday to find nice activity. They saw four PILEATED WOODPECKERS that were all together in one area calling and drumming. They were working the large hemlocks hard as well porcupine evidence. They saw lots of action at the Crowley Farm Rd BALD EAGLES nest with martial bonds being cemented and nest retooling in progress.

Danny spotted a group of BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS foraging on fallen apples in the Stilesville area.
